Office Manager/ Administrative Assistant

We are Slumberkins, an e-commerce start-up in the children’s consumer product space. Founded just three years ago, we are a rapidly growing, driven by the desire to provide resources for parents to support their child’s emotional wellness, while creating characters and products children adore. Small but mighty, we are looking to expand our team and product offerings as we expand across multiple pre-school and children’s product categories.

Reports to Director of Operations

Finance and Accounting:

  • Daily bookkeeping
  • Preparing payroll
  • Preparing all accounts receivables on a weekly basis

General Administration:

  • General errands for all departments
  • Manage conference rooms’ schedules
  • Mail and package sorting
  • Support founder’s with scheduling, time management of calendars, etc
  • Supporting offsite parties, events, etc
  • Building job descriptions and posting, scheduling interviews, management of hiring process, on-boarding process for new hires
  • Tech support for office staff and equipment
  • Booking travel
  • Expense Reports

Office Management:

  • Maintaining office stocking, recycling, garbage, general office maintenance/upkeep
  • Filing of all operations and marketing documents 
  • Office operations and procedures
  • Filing systems
  • Reviewing and approving office supply orders
  • Set up off all office equipment, furniture, etc


  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or Administrative Assistant
  • Strong written and oral communications
  • Good sense of discretion with sensitive information
  • Leadership and the ability to ‘make things happen’
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Dropbox
  • Flexibility and adaptability to ever changing environment
  • Knowledge of administrative systems and procedures
  • Hands on experience with office machines
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast paced environment
  • Creative thinking to improve efficiency
  • Preferred Education: Associates degree or higher, ideally in business administration or operations
