Social Media Manager

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER | VANCOUVER, WA

At Slumberkins, social media is a key component of our business, and with our online presence quickly expanding we are on the hunt for a Social Media Manager who can hit the ground running and continue moving us forward! The goal of this role is to achieve a higher level of customer engagement and intimacy while also increasing website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting our social media marketing toolset. 

As Social Media Manager with Slumberkins, your aim will be to attract and interact with our virtual communities and networks users. You will work under our VP of Marketing supported by our VP of Community and Senior Art Director to oversee all of our current platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn while also keeping up with relevant emerging platforms. You will also be required to write tailored copy for each platform and bring an understanding of creative content and performance tracking. 

We are a young company that moves fast and we will need you to do the same. Ideally, coupled with your LOVE for social media and content creation is an ability to pivot quickly while remaining detail oriented.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of all company’s social platforms (existing and emerging brand/campaign/founder’s unique handles on multiple platforms), from planning content, selecting creative, graphic design, writing copy, scheduling posts, and monitoring performance on each platform
  • Work closely with the marketing team to execute high-level marketing strategy, and deliver a cohesive brand experience
  • Ability to create visual content for social media channels 
  • Help maintain a robust multi-platform presence, integrating brand tone, voice and style throughout
  • Investigate, monitor and provide suggestions on relevant digital trends
  • Assist with reporting on social media performance, directly addressing and working toward KPIs as outlined in the Social Media Strategy 

Experience:

  • Understanding of current industry best practices for social media platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, and Twitter
  • Must have strong copywriting skills, specifically for social media post content, campaign copy, etc
  • Must have graphic design experience
  • Extremely organized with clear communication skills
  • A self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and solve problems under pressure
  • Strong desire to work in a start-up culture, with the ability to pivot direction quickly to keep up with the pace of the company’s growth while keeping a positive, team-first attitude
