I use these books in my parenting class at our local jail. My students, women with substance and alcohol addictions, need to be more confident in themselves before being reunited with their families. They love the messages in this series, not only for their children, but more importantly for themselves. Many will face difficult reunions when they are released. My three year old daughter, never wanted to do reading time. I couldn’t keep her attention.

We ordered a bunch of kins + these big book sets and she is in love! She gets excited for reading time now! She has so much fun meeting our new friends (kins) and reading their stories.

Which makes my mama heart so happy. We’re reading, we’re learning and we’re having fun!

In peak terrific twos we find ourselves reaching for Mad’s not Bad a lot, but we love having this whole collection in our library. It’s so sweet to hear our little repeat the affirmations with us.

Where do I even begin? I wish I could gift everyone I knew this set. These are such powerful books to teach this generation of children, as well as help the parents heal from the generational trauma we endured. These short stories have already had such a positive impact on myself and my toddler.

I bought these with my 3 year old who has some big feelings in mind, but was expecting my 7 year old boy to think they were too babyish. I am blown away by how much my older child has been loving these books and the affirmations!
