Our visual schedule is one of our favorite tools for adding structure to children’s daily lives. Easy to follow and flexible with moving pieces, this is a great resource to help pre-readers alleviate anxiety and follow routines with more confidence and independence.
Strengthening the connection between home and school is important for children’s learning. Parents and teachers can both take steps to ease transitions from home to school by increasing communication between parties and helping children integrate their learning in multiple environments.
How This Helps:
Parents supporting little ones with a wide range of abilities can use a visual routine schedule to bring structure and predictability into their children’s lives. Once children have completed an activity on the schedule, they can visualize what is next and start navigating their daily routines with lessened anxiety and more independence.

This routine board is good quality. I like that the kids can remove a tile when done. I think some key parts of the routine are missing (toilet time (essential after toddler wake up, and before bed), brush hair, book time, and go to bed). I wish these were either implemented or provided as a printable. One of the reasons my kids like this routine board, and know what to do (they cannot read yet) is because of the cute animal pictures, so although I can write on the blank tiles, they don’t know what the card says.
I’ve tried to make some sort of routine chart and my daughter enjoyed it, but it looked terrible to have on our wall and eventually got destroyed by my 1 year old. This looks good and my daughter loves to refer to it in the morning and evening. I do have to hang it up a little higher so the 1 year old doesn’t get it,
I got this for my daughter when she was in preschool. I feel like they have some great cards that you can stick on and take off but I wish there were more options. They do have blank cards that you can write on. I didn’t want to permanently label them so I ended up using dry erase marker but it stains. Not sure what kind of one we are supposed to use for the blank cards. The quality is top notch of course just like all slumberkin products! I love the design and I think it will be better for my daughter as she gets older. A lot of the cards fit with school aged kids.
We are all about routines and schedules in our home. This has been a great addition . We have our mornings down pat but our afternoons and evenings always get wonky and are tougher. This has really helped my toddler follow along and it has helped eliminate some toddler frustration because he knows what is coming next. Love this!
Visually, it’s so cute. I just wish it included more. For instance, two of the brush your teeth so that I can just have them on each side. Also, a nap time as my 2 year old is still napping. It does have some blank cards, but visually it drives me nuts seeing the difference.
